Small adventures. Shared meals. Unusual places.

This may not be one of them.

Purple Elsewhere is a gathering of curious people who like to build things, share food, wander into unusual places, and occasionally follow an idea just to see where it goes. You’re welcome to come along.

Meet the Stargazer

Part tiny shelter. Part experiment. Part excuse to spend a Saturday building something unusual. The Stargazer is a simple 4 × 8-foot micro-shelter with a distinctive half-moon shape.

Small enough to keep the build approachable, but big enough to explore some interesting ideas about how little space we actually need. No construction experience required.

The Stone Soup Tradition

Somewhere between the sawdust and the afternoon, we eat. Our Saturday community meal is potluck. Bring something to share — homemade, store-bought, strange, familiar, or simply whatever sounded good that morning.

Everyone contributes a little. We put it all together. Stone Soup. Builders, friends, travelers, neighbors and curious strangers around one table. There’s always room for another chair.

It's to discover how many ways there might be.

Build something. Bring something. Go somewhere.

There's probably a shelter being built. A table being set. An idea that sounded just strange enough to try.
